Delores “Dottie” M. Riley, a long-time resident of Randle, Washington, passed away peacefully at her home July 11, 2021, after a short battle with cancer. She lived 84 years, 9 months, and 6 days. Delores was born October 5, 1936, in Sprague River, Klamath, Oregon, to Silas Arzy and Ina May (George) Shepherd; the youngest of two children. She married James Ralph Riley on April 20, 1973, in Morton, Washington. Delores was a homemaker and volunteered in the Randle community. She enjoyed square dancing, hiking and camping; worked for the local food bank for many years and sponsored local senior luncheons. She enjoyed baking, quilting, crocheting, and crafting, especially for and with friends and family. Dottie was a member of Family Worship Center in Randle.
Dottie is preceded in death by a first husband, Ronald Eugene Jones, and her beloved husband, James R. Riley; a brother, Eugene S. Shepherd; one son, Gary D. Riley; and two grandchildren: William A. Johnson and Denise M. Manning. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie M. Spivey; her step-children Gail Morales and Ken Riley; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
